I’ve recently co-authored an article with Ashley Beamer, Technology Project Manager on the ongoing programme at the National Galleries of Scotland to digitise its entire collection by 2020. It talks about some of the decisions made in getting the project off the ground, the tie-in to the galleries Skills for the Future Traineeships and some of the benefits that have been enjoyed from having high resolution photography of the collection. It also mentions our upcoming sculpture photography project and what we’ve done to get ready for it.
